Dintshang Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Dintshang community! Our mission is to provide a platform where professionals in the entertainment industry can showcase their talent, connect with opportunities, and build their careers. To achieve this, we rely on every member of our community to help us maintain a safe, professional, and constructive environment. These guidelines are a part of our Terms and Conditions.

Our Core Principles

1. Be Professional

Dintshang is a platform for your career. Treat your profile, your content, and your interactions with the same level of professionalism you would in any industry setting. This includes clear communication, reliability, and a respectful attitude.

2. Be Authentic

Represent yourself, your skills, and your experience honestly. Dintshang is a community for human professionals; the use of automated systems or "bots" to simulate human activity is strictly prohibited. Authenticity builds trust, which is the foundation of our community.

3. Be Respectful

We are a diverse global community of artists and professionals. We expect all interactions to be respectful and constructive. Healthy debate is welcome; harassment, bullying, and hate speech are not.

Prohibited Content and Behavior

To protect the integrity of our community, we strictly prohibit the following. Violating these rules may lead to content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban.

Zero-Tolerance Policy: We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, harassment, and the promotion of violence.
  • Hate Speech and Harassment: Do not post content that attacks or demeans individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status. Do not engage in targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or threats.
  • Specific Rules for Social Connection & Dating Features: When using our social or dating features, you are held to an even higher standard of personal conduct. In addition to all other rules, the following are strictly prohibited:
    • Deceptive Profiles & Catfishing: You must use recent, genuine photos of yourself. Do not misrepresent your age, marital status, identity, or intentions.
    • Unsolicited or Inappropriate Advances: Do not send sexually explicit, harassing, or aggressive messages. Respect boundaries and accept "no" for an answer.
    • Financial Solicitation: Do not use the dating feature to ask other users for money, financial details, or to promote financial schemes.
    • Promoting External Sites: Do not use your profile or messages to drive traffic to other dating services or adult content websites.
  • Spam and Scams: Do not engage in spamming, phishing, or fraudulent behavior. This includes sending unsolicited promotional messages, posting repetitive content, or attempting to lure users off the platform for financial transactions. All bookings and payments must be facilitated through Dintshang as per our Terms.
  • Illegal and Sexually Explicit Content: Do not post or promote any content that is illegal, graphically violent, or sexually explicit. Dintshang is not a platform for adult content.
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Respect the creative work of others. Only upload content that you have created yourself or have the legal rights to use and distribute. Do not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or patents.
  • Harmful Health and Medical Misinformation: Do not provide unsubstantiated medical advice or post content that could be demonstrably harmful to a person's physical or mental health. Content promoting dangerous fitness challenges, eating disorders, or unverified medical claims is strictly prohibited. Your content must not act as a substitute for professional medical or health advice.
  • Impersonation and Misrepresentation: Do not impersonate another person, brand, or entity. Do not misrepresent your skills, professional credits, or affiliations.
  • Automated Systems and Bot Activity: Do not use bots, crawlers, scripts, or other automated means to access, "scrape," or interact with the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to: automated account creation, bot-driven engagement (artificial views, likes, or follows), and the unauthorized use of AI agents to impersonate human professionals. We reserve the right to implement technical measures to block such activity.

Enforcement and Reporting

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce these guidelines. When we identify a violation, we may take a range of actions, including removing the content, issuing a warning, or suspending or permanently disabling the account. We reserve the right to interpret and enforce these guidelines at our sole discretion.

If you see something that violates our guidelines, especially conduct that makes you feel unsafe, please help us by reporting it immediately. You can report users and content directly on the platform or contact our trust and safety team at safety@dintshang.co.za.
